Back for More

Sorry, I haven’t posted in awhile, as I have been settling into my new role as Director of Sales and Marketing at VisionMonitor SoftwareVisionMonitor is a small energy software company and their Compliance Intelligence software suite enables Petrochemical and Utility companies to improve their emissions compliance and operational efficiency.

Now that that’s out of the way, and now that things have settled down a bit, I can get back to business here and you should see a lot more postings in the days to come.  My first task is to go through all of the Houston business sites and populate our calendar with all of the entrepreneurial and technical meetings and events that will be coming up in the weeks and months to come.

Speaking of, today was the Rice Alliance Nanotechnology Venture forum, and I was unable to attend.  If anyone out there was in attendance, please make sure to leave a commentve a comment to let us all know how it went.  Otherwise, I will report something later as I hear it through the business grapevine.

All the best

Share new ideas at the January Geek Gathering

From the GeekRadio site:
“This Friday, January 5th, the crew of Technology Bytes and many of their fans will be hanging out at Tropioca in Midtown at 2808 Milam at Drew. Tropioca specializes in bubble tea, coffee and smoothies. They also serve up desserts, pizza and free wifi. Things get started a little after 7:00 and generally lasts for a couple of hours.”
This should be a great opportunity for those in technology startups in Houston to exchange ideas, network, or potentially find new talent.
Hope to see you there!

And in the world of startups, building strong, referenceable customers is worth it’s weight in gold.
