Sorry I couldn’t stay longer or post earlier, but had a great time just the same. Here were some of the highlights for me:
- I was excited to see some of Houston’s upcoming talent there at the meeting, including some guys from Hush Labs / Natuba, which we covered here. They told me that they were adding some new features to Natuba yesterday and it looks like they have added support for some additional services (if anyone has any additional details I would appreciate your leaving them in the comments section). Also, they said to keep you eyes open for some additional releases by Hush Labs in the near future.
- Also met Brian with the Gimmal Group and talked about some interesting things they are doing with Microsoft SharePoint. Brian said that the Gimmal Group has been in Houston’s Fast Tech 50 a couple of times so continue to look for great things from them.
- Enjoyed speaking with Eric Shafer, the organizer and can see that he wants to do great things with the group. He has his own web design consulting firm called Click and Create.
- I have some video of the meeting that I shot with my ATT 8525 and will try to post it soon if the lighting looks OK.
That’s all for now. It was a great group and I highly recommend attending if you are looking to improve your web design and development skills or just to network with a great group of people who are doing exciting things here in Houston.
