Governor Perry was downtown at the Greater Houston Partnership today to roll out Texas’ new Bioenergy Strategy and introduce the newly formed Texas Bioproducts Industry Council. This links to an MP3 of the press conference.
It was great that he chose Houston for this release, especially since he announced a $5 million grant to Texas A&M University from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund today as well.
Alternate energy will have an incredible amount focus over the coming years. I received the upcoming events calendar from the Rice Alliance and the 5th Annual Energy and Clean Technology Venture Forum coming up on September 27, 2007. It is geared to bring start-up technology companies together with venture capitalists and other potential investors.
