One of the things that I heard loud and clear during our last OpenCoffee Club meeting was that we needed to add more interactivity and information to our site. Well here it is. We’ve added forums to our site to give you a way to share information on resources that you feel have been helpful to your business and would like to share with others. We will also be adding some other information soon that helps to compile some of these resources in an easily accessible place.
You can get to the forums here: http://www.startuphouston.com/forums or by clicking on the Forums tab at the top of the page. So dive right in and let us know what you’re seeing out there; what is working and what is not working. Also, let us know if there are any additional forums that we need to add to the site and we’ll try to get them added quickly. Like we said at BarCamp, we all play a role in growing the Houston Startup community. This is your chance to give back.

Kurt, great to see the progress at Startup Houston!!!! What about Job Postings? We have several openings for senior web developers. In particular, we need a seasoned back-end web developer and senior front-end web developer who can be our GUI guru. Any ideas? Is there a place here we can post? Thanks for the feedback! I have added a new forum group called “People Finder” with forums for Startups looking to find talent, People who are looking to join startups, and People with Ideas who want to meet informally to talk with technical people about getting something started.
