StartupHouston interviews Andrew Hyde of StartupWeekend

One of the great experiences of being at StartupWeekend Houston was the chance to spend some time and work along side of Andrew Hyde, founder of Startup Weekend.  Andrew clearly has a passion for what he is doing and his enthusiasm and relaxed attitude clearly helped to make this both a fun and productive experience for everyone involved.  In our interview I asked Andrew to talk more about how StartupWeekend got started, as well as what he liked about the Houston experience, and he had some great things to say.  Check out the video below for the complete interview.

ps.  Being that we were working on getting TipDish.com launched all weekend, everyone was dressed pretty casual.  :)

Update:  FIRST!  Andrew Hyde reported on his blog that Houston was “the first weekend of the five Startup Weekends to choose Ruby on Rails and to create Enterprise Software. “  Go Houston and Go TipDish!

Interesting article, I think I’d have to agree with most of your assessments. Good info here. Check out my friends startup, it’s a great site. http://www.couponcowgirl.com I’m proud of them. http://www.Tipdish.com sounds cool.

    Hi Mark,
Love the couponcowgirl site. Are they based here in Houston? If so, we’d like to know more about them.
