A good friend the the Houston startup community, Robert Brackenridge, had some favorable press about his new venture, Konstruction Zone. Brackenridge recently left his post with the Houston Technology Center to start Konstruction Zone, an online playground for kids that allows site visitors to upload images of their creations using LEGOs, Lincoln Logs or other materials.
You can meet Brackenridge and his team at the next OpenCoffee event (he’s a regular).

Congratulations, Robert! My son can’t wait for you to launch your site!
Thanks Startup Houston for catching my 90 seconds of stumbling and bumbling at the Rice Alliance event. What a great turnout! It was a lot of fun. I look forward to sharing more about our progress and details about our vision as we press closer to our launch. Keep up the great work reporting on the Houston technology scene. I can really start to hear the buzz humming, and you guys are a big part of it. We are so excited to be a part of something big happening here in H-town!
Thank you too Misty, we are working hard to develop something your family will use to build and share some amazing projects together. We hope we can help you create some lasting memories and have a lot of fun too!
I’ve known Robert for several years and it’s no secret that I owe him my job. He left the position I now fill at the Houston Technology Center to start Konstruction Zone, so I am eternally grateful to him. Even though I’m biased, I think that KZ is an exceptional concept. I know that Robert has a huge vision for the project, the easiest way for me to explain to others is “Webkins meets Tonka Toys for Boys” – but that explanation is just the barest tip of the iceberg.
I think that there is a huge potential for this and I’m looking forward to seeing where he and Serge take it.
