The Real Deal in Bryan/College Station

Bryan/College Station

If you’ve attended our last two Houston Startup Happy Hours or this past Thursday’s Open Coffee Club, you might have had the opportunity to meet our friends from the Creative Space in Bryan/College Station:

  • Bill Erickson
  • Roby Fitzhenry
  • Travis Ward
  • Jeff Blickenstaff
  • Ryan Plesko
  • Cody Marx Bailey
  • Michael Cummings
  • Ben Burkert

To quote them on what the Creative Space is:

“The Creative Space is a group of like-minded individuals out to make great work, together. We all work as one to push the local community through artistic and business endeavors while sharing space and cost.”

These guys are the epitome of what the term “startups” mean and, mark my words, will all be very successful. If you want to meet them in person, make a point of heading to BarCamp Texas on January 26-27. It’ll be a grand ole time.

These guys are absolutely the real deal - from Refresh to BarCamps to SXSW to their own TED-style conference - http://bilconference.com/ they are making things happen in Bryan/College Station and beyond. I know they call themselves Creative Space, but I think of them as the “WeB/CS” crew.

They all bring a ton of energy and passion to the tech startup scene in Texas and it’s very obvious that it will lead to big things for them with all of their projects and companies.

It was a pleasure hosting them in Houston on Thursday and I guarantee that we’ll all be hearing much more from them in the near future.

Thanks for all the kind words. We had an amazing time in Houston on Thursday, and can’t thank all of you enough. I’m just excited that there’s so many people in Houston (and everywhere else) willing to help out in any way they can a group of passionate and young entrepreneurs.

How nice of you all! On behalf of the Always Creative team, I’m sorry we weren’t able to make it to Thursday’s Open Coffee Club. However, you can expect to see us in future activities and we hope to see you at BarCampTexas. I love being a part of The Creative Space and the respect we are apparently earning from our peers. See you soon!

Wow! So many nice words! Startup Houston and The Houston Technology Center have been an unbelievable resource for meeting and interacting with great people and we are excited to be a part of it. You will definitely be seeing more of/from us in the future! Thanks, guys!

I have personally enjoyed visiting at the Houston meetings and would like to thank the hospitality and kind words that the Creative Space has received. I hope that we can continue fostering this group and our ideas and that big things do come to all of us involved. There is enough passion and drive in this group to make great things happen.
