The Small Business Development Center at the University of Houston has a nice slate of seminars for small business owners and entrepreneurs lined up in February and March. Here are some that might be worthwhile for Startup Houston readers:

  • Financing Panel
    Growing a business takes money but here are many different financing tools to fund that growth. Find out latest trends in financing from traditional bank financing to angel funding and an innovative financing tool called BORSATM (Business Owner’s Retirement Savings Account) Plan.

  • License Your Product
    Once licensing is chose as the strategy to commercialize an innovation, find out the steps to successfully transfer the innovation to licensing. Learn how to value an innovation and determine your share of value, ways to locate licenses, and how to negotiate licenses.
