Lets remember that open source is actually "a program in which the source code is available to the general public for use and/or modification from its original design free of charge". I understand the desire to coin collaborative environments and conferences "open source" -- especially the BarCamps of the world where participants really are striving to share ideas and principals with each other that we can all build upon. It's definitely an open source ideology but it's not "open SOURCE". P.S. I didn't have the opportunity to go to BarCampHouston3 but I watched a lot of it streamed online and it really was great. Kudos to Josh and Mark and Kurt and everyone who made this event happen.
