3DCAMP Houston is a participant-driven gathering of like-minded individuals – also known as an ‘unconference’ – with the goal of bringing together 3D professionals in any industry to network, share ideas, and explore opportunities. This includes 3D professionals and enthusiasts from creative and media backgrounds to architecture, engineering and scientific backgrounds whether it be film, television, game development, building information modeling (BIM), architectural visualization, geophysical software, health, or education.
From the co-organizer of 3DCamp David Morris on the blog for the the event:
I tried out a new web app tonight called Floorplanner.com, and I created a 3D model of the first and second floors of the Houston Technology Center. Hopefully this will help people navigate through the building at 3DCAMP!
The first 3DCAMP will be held in Houston, Texas on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 starting at 9:00am at the Houston Technology Center
